- I started painting animation backgrounds for theatrical shorts in 1994. Prior to that, I painted portrait commissions and murals. Since my background painting career, I have worked on a variety of productions, ranging from television cartoons to theatrical animation. I continue to paint portraits and plein aire landscapes.
